Lawrence D. Hopper, J. Kenneth Hopper and Randall G. Richert are proud to be designated members of the Appraisal Institute and are affiliated with the Northern California Chapter of that organization. Randy is an MAI, and Larry and Ken hold both the MAI and SRA designations. In addition, Ken holds the SGA designation from the Society of Golf Appraisers.
THE APPRAISAL INSTITUTE
As the world’s leading organization of professional real estate appraisers, the Appraisal Institute has general appraisal members who hold the MAI, SRPA, or SREA designations, and residential members who hold the SRA or RM designations. Identified by their experience and knowledge of real estate valuation, these members adhere to a strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Currently, the Appraisal Institute confers one general designation, the MAI, and one residential designation, the SRA.
MAI - The MAI membership designation is held by appraisers who are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and who advise clients on real estate investment decisions.
SRA - The SRA professional membership designation is held by real estate solutions providers who are experienced in the analysis and valuation of residential real property.
THE SOCIETY OF GOLF APPRAISERS
The Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA) is a nationwide organization of real estate appraisers and consultants specializing in the valuation, market analysis, and feasibility analysis of golf courses and golf related properties.
SGA - Members of the SGA each hold the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and have each demonstrated a commitment to a competence in the valuation and analysis of golf properties. Each member has committed themselves to providing only the highest level of professional real estate services to the golf industry. Through cooperation with other members, they are elevating the level of the real estate appraisal and analysis profession relative to golf courses and related properties. SGA members have pooled their collective resources of data, experience, educational opportunities, and enthusiasm to offer the golf course industry the finest appraisal and analysis services available.
